So would you all agree that the speech on the plane with Mr Hayes and David is Bruces best work of the series? It's so raw and real and heartfelt . This is a man who truly loves Maddie and states he would give up his life for her .He definitely won Mr Hayes over and i don't believe for one minute it was a fake speech. Bruce delivers it like its a matter of life and death for Maddies dad to believe him. Maddie unfortunately i think loses out though on never hearing all this from David. But i watch this scene all these years later and Bruce still blows me away and i get all choked up for David! Thats why its a hard pill to swallow that he can go to not showing love for her in season 5 so easy . How do you stop loving someone that you said you would die for? Too much bad stuff happen in such a short time to them maybe?

Certainly a good pick, sissy. This has to be one of the best scenes Bruce delivered, certainly the most moving one - the moment you clearly hear his voice is almost breaking... but there are so many good scenes, that when I see a scene like for example the church scene in Creatures or Maddie's welcome home after Chicago or also the scene in Maddie's bedroom in Witness... or, oh, think of the end of Blond on Blonde... he doesn't speak, but his face speaks volumes. Bruce is an awesome actor, and many people don't even know it!

Yes, he is an awesome actor. He can say so much without saying anything. The best example: when Sam comes into his room to tell him how wrong he is for Maddie. He is quiet throughout Sam's entire speech until the end. "You do huh?" Is all he says but his silence spoke volumes!

Yes Bruce is amazing in Moonlighting and amazing in so many movies of his too! He really deserved an Oscar for Sixth Sense ! But Sis yes you mentioned alot of stand out Bruce scenes in Moonlighitng above for sure! When you see he's almost crying or crying in Witness in Maddies bedroom when he tells her what happened he is so heartbreaking there too! He amazes me so much still after seeing these episdoes so many times!
