Wow Maddie really put David through the wringer culminating with this episode. She used Walter as a barrier against her feelings for David but it backfired. She should have told him she loved him and she wished the baby was his and NOT have married Walter at all.

Agree. And she should have tried to explain why she had married Walter and what were her fears about David ("Pat Boone")! Again, she couldn't totally open up - or she didn't think it was necessary maybe? She thought that David would fall at her feet again if she just said whoops I made a mistake, can we just forget everything and re-start?

She wasn't aware that David was getting sick of her crap even before she came home married. He wasn't her puppet. he was too nice at the end,

Yes, Maddie was wrong. But funny in Eek she tells Dipesto she knew how much David cared from the telephone messages. On her answering machine? LOL

Or maybe he called her parents' house when she wasn't home and left messages? Darn inconsistences!!

But how would he know she wasn't home? I've been thinking about this and think she meant he left messages on her answering machine in LA. I wonder if she ever heard the one before he boinked Rita when he told her to stay in Chicago. Its weird the way he says 'he has a business to run' when its her business. LOL

Yes I think you're right about the answering machine. Why was the line about running a business weird? He meant it reproachful of course - she packed and left, not giving a damn thought about what would become of the business. Yes, it was her business, and she left it up to him to run it, taking him for granted (as usual).

HMMM MAYE HE WAS LEAVING MESSAGES ON HER HOME ANDSWERING MACHINE. would have been cool to see! day 1 i miss you please come home. day 20 still missing you . oplease come home to me. if thats the truth how could you ignore a man who left messages like that . i mean i dont know if this is what happened but would have been nice touch. the mad message was awesoen he had every right to be mean to her. she did leave that business for him to run. he was a co worker he was part boss at the time or 2nd in chage after her he coukldnt not run it when she left. he at that point once Blue moon was fun and games to him but now it was thier livelyhood. he wanted to keep it running so she would hve seen he could take care ofit while she was gone and yes he didnt do a great great job the whole time.

I doubt David was leaving mushy messages like that. He probably was just inquiring on how she was doing. how's the baby etc.

She should have told him she loved him and she wished the baby was his and NOT have married Walter at all. Agree. She should have asked him for a second chance and clearly have told him she was willing to give them a try, in spite of all their differences.
