I think David did first. He definitely was knocked off his feet when she walked into his office for sure.! Destiny gave him a massage you know She definitely was taken back by his handsome self and felt smth ,there was this spark between them big time! She wouldn't have gone into business with him if she didn't feel smth back but i think they show David falling for her first in episodes don't you? He showed the jealousy first but maybe Maddie just hid it well where we saw it plain as day on his sleeve, with each time they helped or saved each others backs they fell harder for each other. I think it was love at first sight for both but they didn't know it . Don't know if I made sense but that's what I think , David first cause we saw it more on his point of view first. JMO

After discussing 'Knowing Her' on the Facebook board I'm not so sure it was David who fell first. If he loved Maddie he never would have considered leaving with Jillian. If he loved Maddie the feelings he once had for Jillian would have remained in the past. I think Maddie loved him at this point though because she seemed devastated and hurt when she saw how David felt about Jillian. I also think she cared for him and knew it because in 'Brother..' she kind of tells Richie she can't be with him because of David. JMO I really am not sure who fell first. I always believed it was David but maybe that was just sexual attraction and lust not real love yet.

Hmm that's a very inteersting question. Frankly, I don't think we'll be able to resolve it. I think when they first met the sparks flew, and there was immediate attraction, but not deep feelings yet.
During the coming episodes we saw them fall for each other, but gradually. That incredible attraction was always there and trong, but the feelings deepened with the time passing.
Yes, Maddie told Richie she couldn't be with him because of David - but she had just met Richie, he wasn't a former lover of hers, so it was easy to brush him off and doesn't mean she was already deeply in love with David.
David's dilemma with Jillian... as I said on facebook - I think the main reason he was ready to go with her, the main reason for the emotional attachment towards her was not so much the fact that they had been lovers once but the way it had ended: it hadn't ended at all. They never had had a closure; maybe he had spent years wondering why she had left him and never really forgotten her. To some extent, Jillian was "unfinished business", and now she was apparently the poor victim.
I think if they had had a proper cut in the past, David would have been over her, and he wouldn't have wasted a second thought on leaving with her. I also think he was already far on his way of falling in love with Maddie (remember him in Brother!), but it wasn't yet THE "one and only biggest love of all times" it was about to become, otherwise he wouldn't have fallen for Jillian again, unfinished business or not.
Bottom line: I think they both fell for each other gradually more or less at the same amount of time.
