Does anyone else find David uncaring and offensive when he is talking to Maddie about hiring an office nanny. I mean especially when she throws him out of her office and he stops by the door and says something like 'Pleasure is that hot blonde over there." Or something like that. Meanwhile, Maddie is 5 months pregnant and probably feeling insecure about her body as most pregnant women do and he throws up those hotsie totsies in her face. Just felt uncomfortable with that scene.

i agree Sue! David had matured in a sense for fatherhood. I was all for a nanny to help out in office ,not a live in one thats for sure maddie would never agree to that ! but he went aBOUT IT in a bad way. Should of had all types women he was interviewing much like in Bride of Tupperman. If they were in some type of relationship and he acted that way thats crazy! yes maddie was pretty big by now and she still had curves and he should have been drooling over her curves.

He had what looked like a bunch of strippers waiting to interview for the job. And he was just crude, lewd and pure immature.

Now that you've seen the episode why do you think David did what he did?

I really don't have a clue. It looks like something season 2 or 3 David would have done, reminds me a bit of the way he acted when he presented Stevie in Bride of Tupperman. I don't think it makes any sense for him to act like that, under the nise of the woman you love and who is presumably having your baby (I think he never stopped believing it was actually his). It may look funny, but for me it's the first example of bad season 5 writing. It may be in character for a very early David, but not anymore.

I hated the way he acted. It was cold and cruel.

Exactly, no clue!! Doesn't that ring a weird tune? I mean, it has inconsistent, crappy writing written all over it, no?
Oh, random notice: I swear I have NEVER heard before that the word crass is used in English LOL we use it in German too, with a "K" - krass. That's crass! LOL

Notice when you watch Yuk the song David is whistling as he walks down the hall to the elevator when he sees Maddie..it is the SAME song that causes him to lose it in the elevator. That is so weird.
