From Cybill's book we know that she wasn't too happy with this episode either or, to be more specific, with the dancing dream sequence - I think she complained that to her it looked more like a dream David would have and not a dream Maddie would have. I think the dream sequence makes totally sense as Maddie's dream: it shows us that, instinctively, she knows that David is not the guilty part in the failure of the marriage; she sees him as the innocent, betrayed one, as the good guy who's been cheated on. That may be a bit surprising, because she always accused him of being lewd, a womanizer, whatever. That dream shows IMO that she didn't really believe that, that she was capable (and willing!) to look beneath the rugged exterior. Therefore that dream puts Maddie as a character in a very good light because it shows her golden heart which we know she possesses (not to mention the fact that she caem after him when she thought he was needing her - can't give her enough credit for that!). All in all, a very positive episode for Maddie, she shines in it (and I don't mean her looks). I'm puzzled and wonder why Cybill wasn't satisfied. Any ideas?

IDK maybe she was jealous cause Bruce had a bigger dance routine. Oh gosh, that sounds so selfish... I really hope it was not that...

And the episode was A David episode showing why he is the way he is...and where is the Maddie episode revealing the same about her?
