I always got the feeling when I watched this episode that Toby was starting to fall for David. Did anyone else get this impression?

Not sure if she was exactly falling for him, but she loved how he treated her - with respect and not like a prostitute.

Not sure if you were being sarcastic , but yes I think in this case he is - or at least simply a decent person.

Well until the 5th season anyway. And David doesn't do prostitutes. Even in 'Those Lips.." he turned down a sexy woman pro who was kissing his neck and seducing him.

Would be interesting to see how you'd define it... I think he wasn't a gentleman on so many levels, but on so many others he was... does that make sense??

Yes Yes Rose and I were discussing this. He wasn't the true definition of a gentlemen but notice he always seemed to shield Maddie, he opened car doors for her, he let her walk through the door before him and even though he could be crude and lewd and insensitive he never really crossed the line into indecent. (or maybe that was just the censors LOL)

"a man of good family, breeding, or social position" Not David here.
"A chivalrous, courteous, or honorable man." This was David. Up until the 5th season.

Not so sure about chivalrous & corteous though... would a gentleman ogle women? LOL but he was deeply honorable and simply a good man.

courteous adj polite and considerate in manner I know the meaning of the words, just not so sure if they apply on David... I guess that one's the killer...
