Sonething just came to my mind I'd never thought of before. We all love the 1st car scene for obvious reasons but I was just asking myself: was Maddie really feeling so comfortable? And more: to me, she didn't look tense or forced at all - so, was she really serious at that moment about all the things she said, that she thought the pact was best for them, that she liked just having a normal conversation with David, that she thought their working relationship and friendship would work perfectly if they kept the pact? I mean, the moment David started to turn the conversation it became crystal clear that she wasn't as relaxed as she tried to seem, but before, when she made her little speech, she seemed absolutely relaxed and indeed comfortable. Your thoughts? And one more - what would have happened if David had indeed kept the pact and never made a move at her again?

I don't think she really thought the pact was the best thing for them but she was trying to convince herself. I'm not sure what you mean by comfortable..
Well David really never made a move she lunged at him lol but I know what you mean. If David had seemed to be ok with the pact and never made an attempt to seduce her she would have gone crazy. I think after awhile she would have tried to seduce him in a sneaky way. What do you think?

Yes, pretty much my feelings too. So my guess would be she wasn't comfortable with it at all. Yes, I think her praise of the pact was whistling in the dark. What do you mean she lunged at him?? He was all over her, and they were pretty much on her seat LOL I'd more say they collided...
Well, she kept repeating the word "comfortable" over and over again in her speech, didn't she? That's why I asked. I guess she meant that she liked it very much (I think she used "like" too), and that's what I meant.

I have to rewatch this scene but my recollection is that he seduced her with his words and she went after him first. Let me see

If David didn't make a move on her by seducing her with his voice, then Maddie would have eventually seduced him. She'd first want to know why he isn't trying to break the pact and then soon after seduce him in a way she thinks is not obvious. But of course the second she started David would know exactly what she is doing and play right along.

Yes I agree. If David didn't seduce her with his words she would have done something to have them wind up in bed together. She was hot for him. LOL

I know! I would love to hear her excuses. But truthfully she never blamed him or said he seduced her when it was over.
