Okay, another episode I can really like although it's not as funny as Shirts & Skins.
First of all, the title is nice of course, as we can relate it to Uncle Frank
Then I really like the interaction between David and Richie - these two are so great together!! I daresay this is an episode about the Addison guys, and it's great to see them together with I believe more screen time together than in Brother... I felt so bad for Richie
Love the prison scene where we once again see how deeply they really are attached to each other, even if they both deny it. I noticed that in Brother it was Richie who admitted that he always had been jealous of David because he always had the cutest girls, the coolest moves etc. and here David reveals some similar feelings about Richie always being "The Ad Man". Also love when David starts singing and Richie makes the rhythm to that, and the way Richie puts his arm around David's shoulders "watch the neck, watch the neck!" LOL
Love the final scene when the Addison boys are getting silly together.
What I don't like so much is the beginning with the singing - I'm not so much a fan of the 4th wall breaking at that extent.
And again, they seemed pretty detached - Maddie acting as if she didn't know how the brothers' relationship was and as if she couldn't understand why David was upset about Richie not telling him the whole truth (same thing had happened already in Brother which got them in deep do-do! But maybe that was just another inconsistency?); and yes, that moment when David said two people cannot "just chew over the past and stay close to somebody - hell look at me & you" - that sounds very nonchalant and detached
And that creepy cha-cha doesn't add any sugar on top. Hey even if you can't cha-cha, so what?? It's music, it has a rhytym, and you can sway to it, right? They didn't even try to get close to each other! Maybe it was meant as another symbol for them not being in sync anymore...
But all in all, mostly for the David/Richie interaction, I think I gotta say this one's my #2 after Shirts & Skins.
