Sooo, I finally saw it.
What a bitter irony that the last 3 episodes (not counting the Agnes/Bert one) finally give me what I missed throughout whole season 5: continuity!! ;D From the start of WGC over EKNM up to the end of this one it gets crappier and crappier with every minute.
I really don't have much to say about it and don't feel like discussing it, because where's the point? I don't see anything that's worth analyzing, discussing, questioning. They both disgust me, they are mean, spiteful and not likeable.
Well, I caught a glimpse of old David in the moment when he hugs Agnes and congratulates her. Maddie's frantic squeeing and "forget the glass, give me a bottle!" on the other hand seems so false and just not like her.
The end is absolutely ridiculous - one could have thought (after the prison scene) they would at least give us a hopeful ending (I mean, when Maddie learned that obviously David wasn't as vile as she thought he was because he hadn't cheated on Annie but tricked her away, surely she started to think why he had wanted to get rid of Annie etc.). Already, I'm not a big fan of that 4th wall breaking - I find it funny when it's an occasional glance or a line directly spoken into the camera; also, usually the earlier seasons' intros were funny (like the "welcome back to season 2", "I know we should kiss, they know we should kiss..."), but I already disliked the Opening of Womb , and the whole chase scene and outside-the-studio ending of Camille was too much for me.
So this is... ick. And the scene in the church, where they try to persuade the priest to mary them - I know it's a strong word, but I'd like to call it obscene.
The final montage is good, although heartbreaking. But honestly, I'm not heartbroken or devastated or anything like that. I'm angry at those who ruined the show and spit into the loving audience' faces with all of this and a few more things I surely forgot to mention (oh like the opening scene with David and Annie in bed or Agnes admitting to fantasize about Mark Harmon -- seriously??)
Glad that I'm done with that and can go back to the real show now.
