The following moment comes to my head for no other reason than that a few days ago we had posted that youtube-clip on our facebook group, and that's why I think of it. Not because I think it's the worst Maddie moment ever.
It's from The Man Who Cried Wife, the scene when Maddie is enraged with David because he had decided to take the case of the late Mrs. Bower calling from the "crypt". She tells him that she doesn't want to have anything to do with a man who hits his wife, "and because I don't want to have anything to do with him, you can't."
As I have pointed out already in facebook -- I know that she is the owner of the agency and David's employer, and therefore of course she does have the right to make the decision whether the agency should or shouldn't take a case. But the way she acts in this scene looks so arrogant and far, far over the line to me that I really don't like her at all in that scene.
Of course, it doesn't get any better when they change location from his to her office and she aims that potentially lethal blow at his head with her briefcase and then hits him. That's not cute, full of passion or funny at all.

Yes she was. Of course she's right in general - violence against women is an absolute no-go - in fact, violence in general, Miss Hayes! But, as usual, she sees only black and white, without acknowledging that there's also grey in between (even 50 shades of it LOL). Everyone of us has done things in the heat of the moment we normally wouldn't do because they're basically wrong, including the always so perfect Miss Hayes.
I think this is the kind of moral superior high horse David is referring to in Big Man On Mulberry Street (although she was right in that one to be mad at him) - she tends to mount that horse very often.

How about Tale In Two Cities when she's being quite snappy at her parents who are just worrying about her - "If I wanted to be badgered, I'd have stayed in L.A.!" Now Alex and Virginia are the last people who deserved to be treated like this.

Oh I agree! I hated the way she treated them! And they walked around her like they were walking on eggshells! Really, now maybe we know where she gets her sense of entitlement from!

agree on both times bout maddie . She was way over the top in MWCW definitely is the worst i think shes ever gotten with her tone of voice and she even got her pretty face to turn ugly if ya know what i mean. she was very mean to her parents. we know she had pregnancy hormones a raging though but still she should have realized you come home after 3 years and then you hang around like a teenager moping your parents are going to wonder what the hell is going on! she should have been honest with her mother at least no?

You mean that her parents were too soft with her, and thus her I'm the HBIC and you gotta accept it attitude? Could be...

Yes she did think that everyone should bow down to her. I am sure she was also treated like royalty when she was a big time model.

One moment I don't like at all: in Lady In The Iron Mask when they have their fight about how to crack the case and she says "I'd be better off in business by myself", then tells him to forget it, then rants on that without him she wouldn't be doing this and that, and when he insists that he wants to know what she meant, she says in that really nasty voice and with that mean face "No, you don't!"
Of course, she makes up for that later in that really grand and beautiful final scene, but that moment is really not a good one for her IMO.
